HELEN FRANCES EVERETT (SMITH)

January 10, 2021

Helen Frances Everett (Smith), beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother, of Kincardine, died Sunday, Jan. 10, 2021, four days shy of her 101st birthday. A son could not want or wish for a greater and more loving mother, and Helen had four of them. She showered us with love and affection in every facet of our lives. The great love of her life, our father, Warren/Dud, was taken from her too early (May, 1993) and she has been without him these past 28 years. Helen was born and raised in Toronto, at Danforth and Coxwell (Salmon Avenue). to parents Frances and Katherine Smith. She always said she had an enchanted and exciting life growing up in the east end. She had a great zest for life, enjoying many different activities, such as curling, and snowmobiling with her man, as well as dancing and hosting parties and family festivities. Later in life, she also travelled extensively with her cousin, June, to England and Florida. We nicknamed them Thelma and Louise, “two peas in a pod.” After spending most of her married life in Pickering, she moved to Kincardine in 2002. It was here that she enjoyed her twilight years. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Gary Gurbin and all the caregivers/nurses at Trillium Court where Mom spent her final three years. Predeceased by her parents, Frances and Katherine Smith; brother, Robert Bruce Smith; husband, Warren Benjamin Everett; son, James Everett; and grandson, Glenn Everett. Survived by her sons, Robert (Bev) Everett, Peter (Sandra) Everett, Frank (Rebecca) Everett; grandchildren, Robin (Charles), James (Sarah), Larry (Tara), Christopher (Tobi), Robert (Mica), Tim (Marjolijn), Scott (Elizabeth), Cate (Matt), Emily (Dana), and Jayda (David); great-grandchildren, Kate, James, Rachel, Jessica, Rebecca, Melissa, Hannah, Samantha, Warren, Victor, River, Sylvie, Anja, Stella, Lucy, Teddy, Elle, Baie and Maisy; as well as great-great-grandchild, Quinton. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life with family will be determined in the near future when it is safe to gather. Interment, Duffin Meadows Cemetery in Pickering.
