Obituary

MAITHEL LEE WILSON

April 26, 2022

Maithel Lee Wilson of Point Clark, died at the Kincardine hospital, Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at the age of 73. Born in Kincardine, Dec. 2, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Maithel (Campbell) and Delbert Wilson. Greatly missed by her sons, John (Lindsay) Cuyler, and Jeff (Michelle) Cuyler; grandchildren, Olin and Everleigh; and grand-pup, Bruce; all of Guelph. Also survived by her siblings, Judy Masterson of Kitchener, Mary Flanagan of London, Debbie (Terry) Schell of London and Thomas “Murdoch” Wilson of Newfoundland; and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her nephew, Chad Masterson; and brother-in-law, Bill Flanagan. Maithel Lee was a divine spark in this world who left a lasting impression on all who met her. You were instantly accepted. She was loving, generous, and intelligent. She had an infectious laugh and her personality lit up the room. Her passion for teaching and education, hopefully, lives through this grammatically-incorrect paragraph. She will be deeply missed. Visitation will be held at the MacKenzie and McCreath Funeral Home, Ripley, Friday, May 6, 2022, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The funeral will be held at the Pine River United Church, Saturday, May 7, 2022, at 1 p.m. Interment, Ripley Cemetery, and reception to follow at Pine River United Church. Donations can be made to the Kincardine hospital, via the Kincardine and Community Health Care Foundation: www.kincardinefoundation.ca/ways-to-give/make-a-donation. The family thanks the South Bruce Grey Health Centre staff - Olivia, Amber, and the rest of the team - for their kindness during a difficult time.
