“Erie Train” is next print in Kincardine Hospital Auxiliary fund-raiser

March 22, 2024

“Erie Train” by Nova Scotian folk artist Maud Lewis, is the next print in the South Bruce Grey Health Centre - Kincardine Hospital Auxiliary's Art/Easel Program fund-raiser.

Lewis’ paintings often depict some aspects of day-to-day life in rural Nova Scotia and this one, on display at Sobeys Kincardine, features the Erie Train as it travels through the countryside. This is one of her earlier paintings and shows her ability to paint finer details.

The second print on display at Sobeys Kincardine, is entitled, “Montreal Canadiens Stanley Cup.” This commemorative 1993 Stanley Cup print showcases a team photo and a replica copy of the final scoresheet when the Canadiens beat the Los Angeles Kings for their 24th Stanley Cup.

The print at the Kincardine hospital is entitled, “Cash – Lonely Walk.”

The print at Rona Kincardine is entitled, “Metallica – Black and White.”

The print at Boston Pizza in Kincardine is entitled, “Avengers Mightiest Heroes.”

The starting bid for each print is $200, and they are on display until Tuesday, April 2.
